   The following roster includes names of soldiers who served in the 5th Mississippi Cavalry.  These rosters are from a recent genealogy publication that was compiled from a weekly Tate County newspaper "The Record", published in 1885.  This roster may only represent the members of these companies at one specific time; maybe the names of the original members.  These soldiers may be residents of Tate County or nearby counties.
